Computer Society of India is the first and largest body of computer professionals in India. It was started on 6 March 1965 by a few computer professionals and has now grown to be the national body representing computer professionals
Today the CSI takes pride in being the largest and most professionally managed association of and for IT professionals in India. The purposes of the Society are scientific and educational directed towards the advancement of the theory and practice of computer science and IT. This day, the organization has proudly improvised and grown to the size of almost 100,000 competent members. The members consist of professionals such as Software Developers, Scientists, Project Managers, CTO’s, CIO’s, Academicians, and even more. It has spread its branches all over the country. Right now, the CSI has more than 500 student branches that has been rooted at 73 different locations.
